Over a Decade in the Making

In the decade since WYBREX went from concept to trial and error to legitimacy, we’ve had the privilege of getting input, help, and criticism from prominent experts.

These include professors, archaeologists, historians, museum curators, anthropologists, and authors among others. We’ve secured and completed grants, been proven right, been proven wrong, made mistakes, but mostly furthered the discussion of where historical events occurred.

Below is a partial list of some of the people who have contributed throughout this journey. We are truly grateful to them and so many others.

Testimonial:

“WYBREX has performed a significant service to the history of the Cowboy State, by locating a large number of extremely significant events- particularly including the famous “Wilcox” train robbery by Butch Cassidy’s gang.  WYBREX uses various archaeological and archival research techniques which have proven to be highly effective. The National Museum of Military Vehicles and the Fort Caspar Museum in Casper have both utilized the WYBREX study on the Jumbo Springs Ambush in their interpretation and programs. I can heartily recommend and endorse the professional work of WYBREX.”

Douglas R. Cubbison, Curator of the National Museum of Military Vehicles in Dubois, Former Curator of the Wyoming Veterans Memorial Museum in Casper; Former President of the Wyoming State Historical Society.

“I want to extend our thanks to you for “dousing” for graves for us, both at the Tracy Cemetery near Shoshoni and at the Cemetery in Lost Cabin, Wyoming.  We were both shocked and amazed at the results of the dousing you did when you identified some 40 (forty) unknown/unmarked grave locations. “

David Manchester, President Shoshoni- Lysite Cemetery District Board of Directors
